Job summary

Encore Boston Harbor is seeking a temporary seasonal Bar Porter to maintain cleanliness and sanitary conditions of bar venues, assist with setup and breakdown, and ensure excellent guest experience. You will support the department, uphold Encore Standards, and contribute to a top-tier guest environment.

You must be 21+ and able to obtain MA Gaming Commission licensing; ServSafe or equivalent certification is preferred; prior similar experience and strong sanitation knowledge are beneficial.

Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 6 months of prior related experience preferred.
• Outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills, plus attention to detail.
• Fluent knowledge of chemicals, SDS PPE, sanitation, and OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensures core values and department standards are applied.
• Contributes to departmental goals; monitors effectiveness and reports findings.
• Maintains accuracy, confidentiality, and thoroughness of policies and procedures.
• Follows internal policies and state/federal laws; enforces safety and controls.
• Delivers maximum property-wide service and guest satisfaction.
• Cleans and polishes bar equipment and guest-facing items; maintains cleanliness.
• Communicates with guests and supervisors; relays issues as needed.
• Prepares materials and equipment for the shift; resets work area.
• Works with safety as a priority and follows safety standards.
• Keeps knowledge current with industry training and education.
