Job summary

The Pacific Club seeks a Seasonal Banquet Houseperson to prepare and maintain banquet and club event spaces according to event orders and floor plans. You will assist with room changes, move and arrange furniture, and ensure spaces are clean, organized, and presentation-ready before, during, and after events.

Education of a high school diploma or GED is preferred, with six months of banquet or event setup experience recommended.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow Banquet Event Orders, floor plans, diagrams, and verbal instructions to confirm setup requirements.
• Set up, break down, and reset banquet rooms, meeting rooms, and club spaces according to event specifications.
• Move, arrange, stack, and store tables, chairs, dance floors, risers, platforms, screens, props, and equipment safely.
• Transport furniture, equipment, supplies, tableware, linens, décor, centerpieces, and rental items to and from storage, production, and event areas.
• Maintain clean, organized banquet storage areas; return equipment and supplies to designated locations after use.
• Assist with banquet inventory (tables, chairs, linens, china, glassware, silverware).
• Set up basic electrical and audio-visual equipment for testing before use.
• Support loading/unloading and cleanup by positioning bins, carts, and containers.
• Polish silverware using approved equipment.
• Inspect banquet rooms and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
• Assist service staff with bussing, food running, and room changes as directed.
