Job summary

The Hotel Roanoke & Conference Center, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, invites you to join our banquet team as a season-part-time server through January 9th. This role offers a pathway to a regular part-time position with employee benefits for standout performers.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of food service experience, preferably in banquet operations.
• Experience in a luxury, upscale hospitality environment preferred.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and cocktails.
• Prior bartending experience is a plus
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Set up banquet and event spaces, including linens, silverware, glassware, napkins, centerpieces and beverage stations.
• Assist with food and beverage service during events.
• Transport food and beverages from service areas to event locations.
• Monitor tables and provide attentive guest service.
• Respond to guest requests, dietary needs, and special accommodations.
• Clear tables and remove used dishes and service items during and after events.
• Break down event spaces and restore rooms to proper standards.
• Prepare and maintain coffee stations and beverage setups.
• Ensure food and beverage items meet quality standards before service.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of banquet storage areas and workstations.
• Provide guests with information and a warm, welcoming experience.
• Collaborate with coworkers and other departments to ensure successful events.
