Job summary

PGA WEST Tournament Clubhouse in La Quinta, CA is seeking an experienced Cook to support a la carte and private events. You will prepare high-quality dishes, maintain sanitation, and work at a fast pace to meet member expectations.

You should have prior cooking experience, Serve Safe certification, and strong teamwork. This full-time seasonal position offers hourly pay between $21 and $24 and requires reliable transportation and clear communication in English.

Qualifications

• Prior experience as a Cook is required.
• Knowledge of food preparation in a high quality/upscale environment.
• Serve Safe certification is required.
• Understanding of sanitation practices.
• Must communicate in English and interact with team members and managers.
• Must work well in a team and show urgency to meet member expectations.

Responsibilities

• Operate broiler, pantry and saute stations and assist with purchasing/receiving.
• Coordinate with Sous Chef for menu and supplies.
• Prepare and cook food to specifications with proper presentation and sanitary methods.
• Portion food and serve to servers; prepare cold side items and daily menu items.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, walk-ins and storage; operate equipment safely.
• Assist in receiving/storage of food and break down station at shift end.
