HEI Hotels and Resorts in Berkeley Hills seeks a Banquet Bartender to assist the Banquet Manager in delivering guest-focused service at events. You will set up bars, craft beverages, and ensure compliance with state and company policies to provide a flawless guest experience.

The role requires hospitality experience, strong guest communication, and the ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining safety and quality standards. Regular attendance and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Hotel experience or similar preferred.
• Must communicate well with guests.
• Must have basic knowledge of service of various alcoholic beverages.
• Sufficient manual dexterity to garnish, glassware, ice, and stock.
• Ability to comprehend written product labeling instructions for safety.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for long periods.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
• Basic mathematical skills required.
• Effective verbal and written communication; adapt style to audience.

Responsibilities

• Check Banquet Event Orders to determine function, guests and bar type.
• Set up portable bar in function area according to policies.
• Make and serve drinks following established guidelines and safety controls.
• Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
• Remove trash and liquor glasses from tables; return bar to storeroom.
• Breakdown, clean bar; return equipment and supplies to proper area.
• Attend regularly and be available to work on a regular basis.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
