Job summary

Encore Global in Miami is seeking a seasonal full-time Audio-Visual Technician to set up and operate basic AV systems, ensuring stellar guest satisfaction. You’ll report to the Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology and participate in hands-on training to advance in the field.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• External applicants must complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet training and certification requirements per Encore’s Learning Training Program.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and breakdown basic audiovisual equipment for events.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships on site.
• Troubleshoot equipment and software issues in a timely manner.
• Complete orders and paperwork accurately, including Navigator entries.
• Assist with floor up-selling to increase revenue where appropriate.
• Collaborate with staff and outside vendors to ensure smooth events.
