Job summary

Encore West Palm Beach is seeking a seasonal full-time Audio-Visual Technician to set up and operate basic audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment, ensuring complete customer satisfaction. This role reports to an Operations Manager or Director of Event Technology and includes hands-on training with potential for reapplication based on performance.

The position offers full-time benefits and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• External applicants must complete all training and certifications within 60 days of start date.
• Internal applicants must meet/complete all training and certification requirements as determined by Encore’s Global Learning Training Program.
• 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience is preferred.
• 1 year of audio-visual experience or equivalent in an educational environment is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required for team members that may operate Company vehicles.
• Additional DOT requirements may need to be met if applicable.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Sets up, operates, and breaks down basic audiovisual equipment.
• Exceeds expectations of internal and external customers through excellent service.
• Maintains positive client relationships through effective communication.
• Meets with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment works properly.
• Monitors events and checks in on customers throughout the day.
• Understands and fosters hotel/client relationship.
• Demonstrates basic operational ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment/software issues.
• Completes system entries and paperwork accurately; uses equipment sheets.
• Coordinates with staff and outside vendors for equipment needs.
• Increases revenue by utilizing upsell techniques; works with clients to finalize invoices.
• Completes order entries in Navigator as needed.
