Qualifications include at least a high school diploma and 1 year of relevant experience, with required driver licenses and safety certifications by the probationary period. Certain divisions require a forklift certificate.

Qualifications

• High school graduation or its equivalent preferred.
• One (1) year of experience in operation and routine maintenance of trucks or construction equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates various types of single-axle trucks and related equipment.
• Inspects fluid levels, cleans, and performs minor repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Completes and submits reports of work completed.
• Removes snow, spreads salt, sand, and anti-icing material and may install tire chains and snow plow blades.
• Maintains regular job attendance as scheduled by supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within this classification.
• For Street Maintenance: patches cavities, drills holes, fills with appropriate mixture.
• Patches chuckholes with asphalt and repairs street surfaces.
• Cleans street cracks and pours crack sealing compound.
• Repairs utility cuts in streets.
• Backfills with dirt and sets grades for concrete forms.
