Job summary

Milton Hershey School is seeking seasonal Event Workers for the Middle School to support athletic events and operations. You will oversee game management, supervise student-athletes, and handle transportation of athletes across campus.

The schedule varies by season, with weeknights starting as early as 3:00 p.m. and weekend availability required. A PA driver’s license, van training, and First Aid/CPR training every two years are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current PA Driver’s License in good standing.
• Successful completion of MHS Van Training after hiring is required.
• First Aid and CPR/AED training is required to be completed every two years.
• Interest and knowledge of sports is preferred.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire diverse youth
• Ability to interact with student athletes at different skill levels in a positive and professional manner.
• Commitment to high student achievement and support for all students in a diverse, multicultural environment.
• Eagerness to connect with student-athletes, coaches, and staff with enthusiasm and positive spirit.
• Demonstrated a high degree of integrity as all MHS staff are role models.

Responsibilities

• Oversee athletic events, including game management and supervision of student-athletes.
• Check in officials, set up facilities, announce games and national anthems, and operate time clocks/scoreboards.
• Supervise facilities and assist staff and students after school, including bus loading.
• Transport student-athletes using MHS vans and complete mandatory van training.
• Support a variety of sports events such as Baseball/Softball, Basketball, Soccer, Football, Ice Hockey, Track, Volleyball, Wrestling.
