Job summary

Hinkle Contracting is seeking a Seasonal Equipment and Machine Operator to manage distributor and heavy paving equipment at various Kentucky sites. The role requires a Class B CDL and Hazmat/tanker endorsement within 60 days, plus prior asphalt or road construction experience.

The operator reports to the Paving Foreman, performs inspections, adheres to safety and OSHA/MSHA regulations, and may travel or work nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years related asphalt and road construction experience.
• CDL Class B required.
• Hazmat/tanker endorsement within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Operate distributor and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily pre– and post inspections with documentation.
• Follow Foreman's directions and maintain safe work environment.
• Assist in training less-experienced workers and perform general labor as needed.
