Hinkle Contracting, LLC, a CRH company, is seeking a skilled Distributor/Heavy Equipment Operator to join our Kentucky paving crew. The role requires CDL Class B, Hazmat endorsement within 60 days, and prior asphalt paving experience.

Travel and weekend work may be required, with safety and teamwork at the forefront. You will operate distributor and heavy equipment, perform inspections, and assist in training less‑experienced staff.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required; two years asphalt/road construction exp.
• Must have CDL Class B.
• Hazmat/tanker endorsement within 60 days of hire.
• Prior experience with asphalt paving equipment.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

Aufgaben

• Safely operate distributor and heavy equipment used in road/site/highway construction and paving.
• Report problems to your manager.
• Maintain a safe work environment for yourself and co-workers.
• Follow Foreman daily tasks and project-specific expectations.
• Perform minor servicing/maintenance; refer major problems to Foreman.
• Complete pre- and post-inspections with documentation.
• Assist in training less-experienced employees.
• Perfrom general labor duties as needed.
• Understand paving industry aspects: grades, drainage, patterns, aggregate size, and specs.
• Ensure equipment operates efficiently and follow safety procedures.
• Wear PPE and communicate effectively.
