Job summary

Midland Asphalt Materials Inc., a Barrett Industries subsidiary, seeks Asphalt Distributor Operators for our Pennsylvania facilities. This seasonal, full-time role runs mainly May through September/October, 40–60 hours per week, with overtime after 8 hours and 40 hours per week. Benefits remain active year-round.

Candidates must have a valid Class B CDL with Airbrakes and Tanker endorsements and a clean driving record. Class A CDL with Hazmat is preferred. PPE must be worn at all times.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL-B with Airbrakes and Tanker endorsements and a good driving record.
• Hazmat endorsement on Class A CDL is preferred.
• Must wear and maintain PPE as required.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
• Occasionally required to work nights, weekends, and overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Operate an asphalt distributor and apply emulsions to roads.
• Coordinate with Foreman for application rate and special instructions.
• Understand emulsions and how to use each safely and effectively.
• Keep track of time and quantities per project and report to dispatch.
• Perform related duties such as shovel work, setting string line, and changing spray nozzles.
