Job summary

The City of Pasadena seeks an Assistant Pool Manager for its seasonal aquatics program. You will help run daily pool operations, supervise staff, and ensure safe, clean facilities and top-quality customer service for residents and guests.

You will participate in in-service trainings, enforce safety standards, document activities, and manage schedules and disciplinary actions in line with city policies. Evening shifts up to 9pm are possible.

Qualifications

• American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR with AED, First Aid, bloodborne pathogens.
• Preferred: American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor.
• Must maintain required licenses, certifications, clearances, and comply with attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pool Manager with daily pool operations and safety.
• Supervise staff including lifeguards, cashiers, instructors; ensure quality customer service.
• Coordinate in-service trainings and track staff performance.
• Maintain records: logs, time sheets, and incident reports.
• Follow city policies for discipline and documentation.
• Work flexible hours, including evenings, up to 9pm, on scheduled shifts.
