Job summary

The Salvation Army in Birmingham, AL is seeking a seasonal warehouse assistant for the Christmas Angel Tree program. The role runs November through December, Monday through Friday from 11 AM to 7 PM, at the Galleria Mall.

You will lift and carry donations under 25 lbs, assist with site setup, interact with donors, and perform data entry for recipient information. No advanced education required; a high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to follow instructions with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provides support for the seasonal Angel Tree program
• Lifts, carries, loads and unloads a variety of Christmas gift donations
• Serves as an attendant at Angel Tree sites
• Interacts with donors and responds to questions regarding the donation process
• Assists with the cleanup, lay out, and set up of the warehouse
• Assists with pick up from the malls or corporations.
• Performs data entry of recipient information.
