Job summary

STG Inc. in Anchorage, AK is seeking an Expediting Driver for a seasonal, fixed-term assignment. You will operate company vehicles to transport materials, assist loading, and support the Procurement & Logistics team on daily pickups and deliveries.

The role blends driving with light manual labor in indoor/outdoor settings; follow routes, verify shipments, prepare paperwork, and maintain records while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience with local construction or freight vendors.
• 1 year of professional driving in the Anchorage area.
• DOT medical card required.
• Basic computer skills; MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license; able to operate per policy.
• Ability to pass drug, driving record, and background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport materials, tools, and supplies.
• Follow daily route plans based on project schedules and priorities.
• Pickup/deliver materials across Anchorage area.
• Make supply and grocery runs for shipments.
• Serve as courier for internal communications and documents.
• Plan efficient routes to optimize time and fuel.
• Comply with traffic laws and safety policies while driving/loading.
• Verify materials against vendor tickets and purchase orders.
• Submit weekly expense reports and maintain records.
• Process receipts and air bills daily with notes and filing.
• Consolidate deliveries by project to streamline shipments.
• Capture photo documentation of all outbound freight.
• Organize goods received by projects for delivery consolidation.
• Package, label, and load goods for shipment.
• Operate a loader with forks to load/offload materials.
