Job summary

STG Inc. seeks a Procurement Specialist to manage requisitions, purchase orders, quotes, and vendor relations for remote Alaska construction projects. The role is based onsite in Anchorage, AK, involving occasional driving of company vehicles and light outdoor work.

We value strong procurement knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with foremen, PMs, and suppliers to keep projects on track and within budget.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid state driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle.
• Ability to pass drug, driving, and background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process order requisitions for operations and construction projects.
• Issue purchase orders, confirm pricing and lead times.
• Coordinate with foremen, project managers, equipment manager, field personnel and vendors for order accuracy.
• Obtain quotes and negotiate pricing and delivery timelines.
• Expedite orders and track progress with vendors.
• Reconcile vendor tickets and requisitions to purchase orders.
• Plan pickups and deliveries, including packing, labeling, loading for shipment.
• Turn purchase orders to Accounting; resolve discrepancies.
• Drive company vehicle to pick up and deliver materials.
• Maintain positive relationships with vendors and staff.
• Provide administrative support to Procurement & Logistics.
• Assist with inventory management.
