Job summary

The Inland Group of Companies is seeking an aircraft deicer for part-time seasonal work at the airport. The role involves removing ice from aircraft, inspecting for frozen contamination, and applying deicing fluid in a safety-conscious environment.

Applicants must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and possess intermediate computer skills. Training will be provided to complete IDS de-/anti-icing procedures and on-the-job instruction.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to verbally direct in English.
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
• Successful completion of all IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.
• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-icing operation and make sure all company policies and procedures are being followed correctly.
• Uphold and follow the duties related to de/anti-icing aircraft according to procedures for both airlines and IDS including inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination.
• Participate in the pre-planning for the de/anti-ice event (perform checks on equipment, trucks, servicing equipment with fuel or glycol).
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and logbooks; that all maintenance issues have been logged and reported to maintenance and all proper shutdown procedures for the equipment are followed.
