Job summary

IDS Inland Deicing Services seeks an aircraft deicer for a part-time seasonal role at our airport operations. You will inspect aircraft for ice, apply glycol deicing fluid, and follow safety procedures to ensure a safe deicing process.

The position requires at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, basic computer skills, and proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English. Valid driver’s license is required. No travel and no supervisory duties.

Qualifications

• Age >= 18 years.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
• Able to read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Able to verbally direct in English.
• Tactful in dealing with all employees and client representatives.
• Successful completion of IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.
• Able to speak and hear efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during de/anti-icing operations and follow company policies.
• Inspect aircraft for ice and remaining frozen contamination after deicing.
• Assist in pre-planning for de/ice events (check equipment, trucks, fuel or glycol servicing).
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and logbooks.
• Log and report maintenance issues and follow shutdown procedures for equipment.
