Job summary

The Deicer at IDS Inland Deicing Services, LLC is a part-time seasonal role based at IAD in Loudoun Valley Estates, VA. You will perform aircraft de/anti-icing operations, inspect aircraft for frozen contamination, and ensure all deicing activities meet airline, IDS, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Ability to read, write, understand, and follow instructions in English.
• Ability to communicate clearly and provide verbal direction in English.
• Successful completion of all IDS classroom and on-the-job de/anti-icing training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform aircraft de/anti-icing operations in accordance with airline, IDS, and safety procedures.
• Inspect aircraft before and after deicing to identify and confirm removal of frozen contamination.
• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Support pre-event planning activities, including equipment inspections and readiness checks.
• Service and prepare deicing equipment, including fueling vehicles and replenishing glycol supplies.
• Complete required operational paperwork and logbook documentation accurately and on time.
• Report maintenance concerns promptly and communicate issues to maintenance personnel.
