Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group is seeking a skilled Combination Welder for our Geismar site to perform welding and fabrication on industrial piping, equipment, and structural components. You will read isometrics, follow WPS, and work with pipefitters to ensure precision and quality in a heavy industrial environment.

The role requires experience in SMAW/Stick and GTAW/TIG, ability to weld in multiple positions (2G/4G/6G), and adherence to safety protocols for construction, maintenance, and turnaround

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or preferred.
• Experience welding industrial piping in construction, maintenance, turnaround, or similar heavy environments.
• Must pass weld tests and maintain relevant qualifications.
• Able to weld in multiple positions (2G/4G/6G).
• Experience with SMAW/Stick and GTAW/TIG processes on piping.

Responsibilities

• Perform welding and fabrication on industrial piping, equipment, and structural components.
• Read isometrics and welding docs; follow WPS and project specs.
• Prepare joints, fit-up, and perform welding in required positions.
• Support pipefitters with preparation and installation when not welding.
• Maintain safety training and required site-specific certifications.
