Job summary

Structured Trades is seeking an experienced TIG Combo Welder for commercial construction projects in the Austin, TX area. The ideal candidate will perform TIG (GTAW) and SMAW welding on piping components in various positions and read blueprints and weld symbols.

Responsibilities include root passes, fill/cap passes, material preparation, and ensuring weld quality meets project standards. Must have own tools and 3+ years of welding experience; 6G preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires 3+ years of combo welding experience in a commercial setting.
• Proficient in TIG (GTAW) and SMAW welding processes.
• Ability to weld pipe in multiple positions; 6G preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform TIG root passes and stick fill/cap passes on carbon and stainless pipe.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and project specifications.
• Prepare fit and weld materials including carbon steel and stainless steel.
• Ensure welds meet project standards, codes and safety requirements.
• Inspect welds for defects and perform adjustments or repairs as needed.
