Turner Industries is seeking a welder at the Port Allen, LA pipe fabrication shop. The role involves interpreting weld maps and procedures, identifying materials, and welding pipe spools under supervision, with responsibility for safety and test completion.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of experience, pass multiple welding tests (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW) in 6G position, and complete required pre-employment screenings and site orientations.

Qualifications

• Preferably 2–4 years of welding experience in the specified skill areas.
• Pre-employment qualification tests and required welding tests.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Hazard Communication orientation/test; Turner Industries indoctrination.
• OSHA eye protection requirements (Z87) and job site orientation.
• Compliance with PPE requirements (hearing protection, safety glasses, long sleeve, gloves, steel-toe boots).

Responsabilités

• Interpret weld maps and weld procedures, identify material types and weld pipe spools.
• Work under a foreman and assist in setting up and taking down pipe spools.
• Read and sign off on JSA prior to starting shift; pass required welding tests in 6G position (GTAW, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW).
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow site safety rules.
