Job summary

Town of Barnstable is seeking candidates for a position in the Safety Department. The role involves professional, technical, research, data collection, and administrative tasks on various projects.

Ideal candidate is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, or Emergency Management, with a high school diploma and a valid driver's license.

This is an hourly, part-time position with compensation at $19.50 per hour and no benefits.

Qualifications

• Progress toward a BS in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, and/or Emergency Management preferred.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, technical, research, sampling, data collection, modeling, and administrative work for the Safety Department on a variety of projects.
• Support safety, emergency management, training, and other town functions as needed.
• Ideal candidate will pursue a career in Occupational Health and Safety or Emergency Management.
