Job summary

The Town of Natick seeks an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to join the Department of Public Works & Facilities. You will coordinate OSHA training, develop safety programs, conduct inspections, and lead incident investigations to support a proactive safety culture across municipal operations.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in a safety-related field and 1+ year EH&S experience, with working knowledge of OSHA, MassDEP and EPA regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or related field; experience may substitute.
• 1+ year of EH&S, safety or regulatory compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, MassDEP/EPA regulations and related standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate DLS/OSHA training and regulatory compliance programs.
• Develop and implement workplace safety policies, programs and training.
• Conduct safety inspections, hazard assessments and incident investigations; recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor safety practices and promote continuous improvement and safety culture.
• Collaborate with Town departments to identify hazards and implement solutions.
• Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and safety partners.
• Support environmental compliance and maintain safety records.
• Stay current on OSHA, DLS, MassDEP, EPA requirements.
