Job summary

Barnstable is seeking a versatile candidate to support the Safety Department, performing professional, technical, research, sampling, data collection, modeling, and administrative tasks across varied projects.

The ideal candidate aspires to a career in Occupational Health and Safety or Emergency Management, holding a high school diploma, being at least 18, and possessing a driver’s license. Progress toward a BS in related fields is preferred. Compensation is $19.50 per hour with no benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma; candidate must be at least 18 years old.
• Progress toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, and/or Emergency Management is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, technical, research, sampling, data collection, modeling, basic labor, and administrative work for Safety Department projects.
• Projects may involve safety, emergency management, training, or other Town functions.

Ideal candidate will have a career aspirations in Occupational Health and Safety or Emergency Management fields.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent is required and member must be at least 18 years old. Progress toward a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational health and Safety, Environmental Sciences, and/or Emergency Management, is preferred.

A driver's license is required.

$19.50 hourly, no benefits.
