Job summary

Posted Social is a fast-growing, full-service marketing agency in St. Louis. We own SEO strategy across client accounts, lead a web/SEO team, and build the department as we grow. This hands-on role will require you to do the work and also lead the team.

You’ll report to ownership, collaborate with designers, copywriters, ads/tech, and account executives to drive measurable leads and revenue, not vanity metrics.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on SEO with a strong technical foundation.
• Deep WordPress skills; Bricks experience a bonus.
• Proficient with GSC, GA4, Bing Tools, Clarity, Semrush, BrightLocal, Screaming Frog, Rank Math, Perfmatters.
• Google Ads & Local Services Ads experience preferred.
• Experience using AI tools (e.g., Claude) to improve efficiency.
• Strong perspective on AI search and future of SEO.
• Experience leading projects or teams.
• Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop SEO strategy across client accounts prioritizing revenue-driven work.
• Perform technical SEO audits: architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, speed, schema.
• Tune WordPress performance, manage plugins/caching, redirects, migrations.
• Manage Local SEO and Google Business Profiles, explore AI search visibility.
• Measure and report using Search Console/GA4 to tie SEO to leads and revenue.
• Own SEO SOPs and tool stack; suggest improvements.

Job description

We’re hiring an SEO Manager to lead and grow SEO at Posted Social.

Posted Social is a fast-growing, full-service marketing agency in St. Louis. We don’t outsource, white-label, or hand clients off to freelancers. The people doing the work always know the businesses they’re doing it for.

In this role, you’ll own SEO strategy and technical SEO across our client base, lead our web and SEO team, and build out the department as we grow. It’s for someone who loves the technical side of search, is hungry to join a growing organization, and is ready to take a department to the next level. This is a hands-on role. You’ll do the work yourself and lead the team doing it with you.

Here’s what you’ll own:

• SEO strategy across a book of client accounts, prioritizing the work that actually moves leads and revenue for each one
• Technical SEO: audits, site architecture, crawlability, indexation, Core Web Vitals, page speed, and schema
• The technical side of WordPress: performance tuning, plugin and caching conflicts, redirects, and migrations, so new builds launch gaining search visibility instead of losing it
• Local SEO and Google Business Profiles, plus visibility in AI search and generative engines
• Measurement and reporting through Search Console, GA4, and our ranking tools, tying search performance to leads, bookings, and revenue instead of vanity rankings
• Our SEO SOPs and tool stack. If there’s a better way to do something, we want you to bring it to us.

You’ll report directly to ownership and work closely with our web designer on site builds and performance, our copywriter on blog and SEO content under your strategy, our ads and tech team on tracking and attribution, and our account executives to explain your work to clients in plain English.

The skills and experience we’re looking for:

• 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience with a strong technical foundation (agency experience managing multiple client accounts is a big plus)
• Deep WordPress skills. You can diagnose speed issues, plugin conflicts, and indexation problems on your own. Bricks experience is a bonus.
• Fluency with our stack: Google Search Console, GA4, Bing Webmaster Tools, Microsoft Clarity, Semrush, BrightLocal, Screaming Frog, Rank Math, and Perfmatters
• Experience with Google Ads and Local Services Ads is a bonus
• You use AI tools like Claude to work faster and smarter, without letting them do your thinking for you
• A clear point of view on where search is going, including AI search
• Experience leading projects or people, or a real drive to grow into leading a team
• The ability to explain a technical problem to someone who isn’t technical without making them feel dumb

This is a starting salary with real room to grow. Pay starts at $65,000-$80,000 depending on experience, with a performance and compensation review at 90 days, a quarterly team bonus, and an annual performance‑based bonus. As the SEO department grows, this role grows with it in scope, team, and pay.
