Job summary

GALLS, LLC is seeking a dedicated alterations associate to identify customer needs, mark and alter garments, and operate heat press equipment to ensure high‑quality uniforms. The role emphasizes precision and the ability to follow work instructions in English in a fast‑paced environment.

You will perform diverse alterations—from hems to patches—using industrial sewing machines, and you’ll contribute to timely production while maintaining safety standards and quality focus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous experience in Alterations preferred. GALLS will train!
• Well-versed in industrial Sewing machines, preferred. GALLS will train!
• Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused – you’re not happy with mistakes
• Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist, and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation

Responsibilities

• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently
• Perform uniform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency, to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping, and applying patches
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
