Job summary

GALLS, LLC is seeking a Seamstress/Tailor (Production Associate) to alter the uniforms and equipment of our nation's Public Safety professionals. You will ensure all measurements and fittings are completed properly, accurately, and efficiently so they can wear the uniform proudly. We are PROUD to Serve, and it all starts on our Production and Value-Added Service Team.

Pay range is $19 - $21 per hour. Responsibilities include taking measurements, marking garments, operating a heat press, sewing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Previous alterations experience preferred; training provided by GALLS.
• Well-versed in industrial sewing machines; training provided.
• Ability to read/receive work instructions in English.
• Detail-oriented with strong quality focus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and identify customers' needs per the Work Instruction Document.
• Take measurements and mark garments for alterations, solving sizing issues.
• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently.
• Perform sewing alterations and embellishments, including hems, patches, name strips, and stripes.
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Seamstress/Tailor

Pay Range: $19 - $21 per hour

As a Tailor/Seamstress (Production Associate) at GALLS, you will be hands-on, altering the uniforms and equipment of our nations Public Safety professionals. You will ensure all measurements and fittings are completed properly, accurately, and efficiently so they can wear the uniform proudly. What You Will Do

• Read and accurately identify the customers needs per the Work Instruction Document
• Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations, with the ability to problem-solve individual sizing issues
• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently
• Perform uniform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency, to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping, and applying patches
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

What You Will Bring

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Previous experience in Alterations preferred. GALLS will train!
• Well-versed in industrial Sewing machines, preferred. GALLS will train!
• Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused 0E you9re not happy with mistakes
• Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist, and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation
