Job summary

GALLS, LLC is seeking a Production Associate as a Tailor/Seamstress to alter uniforms for public safety professionals. You will ensure measurements and fittings are completed accurately and efficiently to help wear the uniform proudly.

The role requires reading instructions in English, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work with industrial sewing machinery to meet production timelines. Training is provided, and the team emphasizes quality and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in alterations preferred; training provided by GALLS.
• Industrial sewing machines experience preferred; training provided.
• Ability to read work instructions in English.
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods and lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and accurately identify the customer's needs per the Work Instruction Document.
• Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations.
• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently.
• Perform uniform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency.
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines.
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

As a Tailor/Seamstress (Production Associate) at GALLS, you will be hands-on, altering the uniforms and equipment of our nation's Public Safety professionals. You will ensure all measurements and fittings are completed properly, accurately, and efficiently so they can wear the uniform proudly. WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Read and accurately identify the customer's needs per the Work Instruction Document
• Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations, with the ability to problem-solve individual sizing issues
• Operate a heat press safely and efficiently
• Perform uniform sewing, alterations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency, to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping, and applying patches
• Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Previous experience in Alterations preferred. GALLS will train!
• Well-versed in industrial Sewing machines, preferred. GALLS will train!
• Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
• Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused - you're not happy with mistakes
• Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist, and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation
