Position Overview

Title: SEAL Program Coordinator
Reports To: Special Projects Manager
Location: North Central Texas Workforce Solutions
Employment Type: Temporary - Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt Employee
Duration: March through August (approximately), subject to program funding and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities and Impact
  • Coordinate and implement a quality work experience program for SEAL participants.
  • Outreach VR SEAL referrals to provide program information and encourage engagement.
  • Communicate with SEAL Manager regarding issues requiring VR partner engagement.
  • Act as program liaison with SEAL trainees and guardians (if applicable) to provide required information for successful and compliant work experience engagement.
  • Conduct work readiness training with VR customers in compliance with the SEAL Plan.
  • Assist in matching SEAL customers with available SEAL worksites.
  • Process SEAL participants for enrollment into the ADP system.
  • Guide customers and guardians in completing enrollment activities and documentation for compliant SEAL enrollment.
  • Guide customers (and guardians, if needed) to complete enrollment steps for wage payment systems.
  • Schedule and perform New Hire Orientations as needed.
  • Schedule and perform Worksite Supervisor Orientations and document them as required.
  • Complete worksite visit documentation in a timely and complete manner.
  • Manage and conduct analysis of work experience activities to ensure implementation of policies and procedures.
  • Oversee worksite activities to assure applicable Child Labor Law compliance.
  • Coordinate, pick up, and process time sheets promptly.
  • Coordinate payroll distribution (if needed).
  • Resolve paycheck and time sheet issues in coordination with Career TEAM administrative staff and SEAL customers/guardians.
  • Track and document outcomes and manage contractual goals related to the SEAL Program.
  • Obtain and review performance evaluations from employers and take appropriate actions.
  • Approach each day and task with a "ZAG" mindset.
  • Perform other duties and projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree (4‑year) or higher, or at least four (4) years of combined education and relevant experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience combining elements of training, counseling, case management, or other services.
  • Substantial case management experience and ability to read and interpret policies and procedures.
  • Experience working successfully with individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base in a culturally sensitive fashion.
  • Ability to serve as a role model to customers and motivate them toward achieving goals.
  • Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e‑mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license.
