Job summary

Whole Foods Market in Palo Alto seeks a seafood team member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation in the seafood department. You will help maintain displays, assist customers, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations while delivering friendly, efficient service.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• No prior retail experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fresh and appealing display; check quality and stock levels.
• Maintain department signage and pricing accuracy.
• Keep back stock tidy and organized; maintain clean environment.
• Assist with sampling program and keep areas full and clean.
• Follow health, sanitation and safety procedures and Weights & Measures rules.
• Prepare, label, and date cooked fish; assist with inventory checks.
• Attend required trainings and meetings and perform opening/closing duties as assigned.
