Job summary

Whole Foods Market is seeking a Team Member to support the seafood department with counter service, stocking, and sanitation, while providing courteous, friendly, and efficient service.

You will follow SOPs, assist with inventory, price signage, and safety procedures; lifting up to 50 pounds and working nights/weekends as needed. This role emphasizes customer service and adherence to health and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell proactively.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Proactively reads labels and familiarizes oneself on various products.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality and stocking cases.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Keeps a safe, clean, and well-organized work and shopping environment.
• Assists with sampling program; keeps sample areas full and appealing.
• Cleans cases, glass, signs, and equipment; handles fish preparation and labeling.
• Reports safety hazards and follows health and sanitation procedures.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned.
