Job summary

Nino Salvaggio Marketplace Fishery in Livonia seeks a Seafood Associate to assist customers, prepare seafood displays, and stock cases. You will follow established procedures for receiving shipments and maintain a clean, safe work environment.

Responsibilities include weighing, pricing, wrapping, and prepping seafood per company recipes, while providing excellent customer service and product knowledge. Ability to work in cold environments and lift up to 25 lbs is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to work in extreme cold and wet/humid conditions.
• Ability to stand for 8+ hour periods and lift 25 pounds.
• 18+ to use slicers and meat cutters as per safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and display seafood cuts per guidelines.
• Receive and unload shipments following department procedures.
• Stock meat cases with quality products and rotate stock.
• Maintain safe, clean work environment per safety and sanitation rules.
• Assist customers with selections and provide product information.
• Weigh, price, wrap, and prep seafood selections.
• Follow company recipes for seafood preparation.
• Operate equipment safely per guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of product varieties, prices, and preparation methods.
• Notify management of safety or equipment issues and assist in training.
