Fortune Fish & Gourmet Minnesota is seeking a Retail Sales Associate at our Coastal Seafood Stores to join our growing team. The role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service, greeting customers, and handling orders with care in a fast-paced seafood environment.

Food preparation experience is not required, but highly valued. You will cut and pack orders, answer questions, operate POS, maintain sanitation, and contribute to merchandising and displays.

• Assist customers by answering product and service questions and suggesting information for appropriate alternatives.
• Develop and maintain ongoing product knowledge to provide additional value to customers.
• Receive deliveries and rotate product accordingly.
• Assist in housekeeping and merchandising duties, including monitoring, maintaining, and servicing the seafood display case.
• Maintain a clean work area to ensure the highest standards of sanitation.
• Contribute suggestions to continuous improvement of the retail operation.
• Manage telephone calls professionally, efficiently and with effective communication skills.
• Effectively manage time and organize workflow to meet deadlines.
• Exhibit ability to work safely and follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Handle product properly to ensure maximum shelf life and sanitation.
• Inform supervisor of any product or safety concerns.
• Clean-up work station and department at the end of shift.
• Communicate quality issues to supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
