Job summary

Euro USA Inc. is seeking a Seafood Packer/Utility worker to pick and stage orders for customer delivery and to maintain the seafood area of the warehouse in a safe, orderly manner while assisting the Fish Cutters.

You will identify seafood products, ensure labels include country of origin, and uphold SQF standards. Responsibilities include sanitation, equipment inspection, and staging orders for shipping, with a starting hourly rate of $17.50.

Qualifications

• Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked.
• Possess basic math and reasoning skills
• Ability to understand and execute instructions
• Ability to operate inventory control equipment (i.e., bar-coding equipment, handheld devices)
• Must have experience using ride on pallet jacks. Experience with reach trucks, and cherry pickers a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identify seafood product and build orders to customers specifications
• Ensure all labels are clear and readable and have the country of origin on them
• Maintain SQF standards in the warehouse and keep track of all damaged inventory and report to the supervisor
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards
• Sanitize cutting boards and knives
• Inspect all equipment daily (pin bone machine, scales, hoses)
• Properly clean and maintain seafood areas per GMPs and SQF
• Stage seafood orders for shipping - pull items and place orders in delivery area
• Keep work environment safe and clean (shelves, pallet area, workstations)
