Job summary

Euro USA Inc. in Ohio is seeking hard-working Order Selectors to join a close-knit team. You will pick and stage orders for customer delivery and maintain a safe, organized warehouse environment.

Requirements include at least one year of order picking, forklift certification, and the ability to read orders, identify products, and work with RF scanners; the role involves standing 6–8 hours and lifting up to 85 lbs.

Qualifications

Description

Euro USA is a specialty and seafood distributor serving the retail and food service industries. After 37+ years of being in business, we are still growing and as a result, we are looking for hard working, experienced Order Selectors who want to be part of a close knit team.

Position Summary

The Order Selector is responsible for picking and staging orders for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Process orders for shipping - pull items, palletize, wrap and stage for shipment
• Maintain an organized dock area to ensure proper loading and safety
• Maintain quality in the warehouse and immediately report damaged product or equipment to the Warehouse Manager
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards
• Maintain safe and clean work environment during and after the shift by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintain clean shipping supply area; comply with procedures, rules, and regulations

Working Conditions

• Ability to move/lift up to 85 lbs.
• Ability to withstand cool/cold temperatures in a typical food warehouse environment
• Position spends 6 – 8 hours standing, walking, lifting, pulling and pushing
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements

• MUST have at least one year of order picking experience
• Forklift certified
• RF Scanner experience is preferable, but not required
• Ability to understand and execute instructions
• Must be able to work as a team with co-workers and other departments
• Ability to identify product by size, type, or product code.
• Solid reading skills – must be able to read orders/match orders on shipping tickets to items picked
• Possess basic math and reasoning skills
