Qualifications

• Three-to-six-month food manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.
• Ability to count by multiples 2s and 3s to place correct number of items into packages.
• Ability to interpret simple written instructions and follow established procedures.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with coworkers.
• Work environment includes wet, humid, and cold conditions with moving mechanical parts.

Responsibilities

• Tends machine(s) to feed product to conveyors, hoppers, or other feeding devices.
• Removes product from platforms/conveyors and packs into preformed pouches.
• Counts items packed to ensure compliance with company standards
• Monitors product feed into pasteurizers.
• Places product on grill marker belt.
• Ensures product packages are placed on conveyor according to company standards.
• Inspects filled container to ensure that product is packaged according to specifications.
• Removes irregular product and any foreign material found in product.
• Reviews workspace for cleanliness and safety concerns.
• Uses PPE per company standards; cleans with SSOP.
• Disassembles/reassembles production line for cleaning.
• Cleans and sanitizes production equipment, tools, and work area per SSOP.
