Job summary

Walt Churchill's Market in Maumee, OH is seeking a Fishmonger/Seafood Lead who can bring our seafood department to life. You will lead a team, craft scratch-made items, and ensure a welcoming environment where customers leave inspired for their next meal.

You will develop seafood recipes, partner with the Deli Manager on inventory and costs, mentor staff, and help run events like Seafood Roadshows. If you love seafood and sharing tips, this is your chance to grow with a community-focused market

Qualifications

• Seafood, deli, restaurant, or grocery management experience.
• Seafood knowledge and cooking experience preferred.
• ServSafe or willingness to obtain certification.
• Proficient with basic computer skills (email, Excel, Word).
• Able to work varied shifts including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and mentor the team.
• Develop seafood-focused recipes for cases and café.
• Handcraft local favorites using in-store recipes.
• Order high-quality seafood and maintain stock.
• Manage inventory and track department sales with the Deli Manager.
• Maintain clean, safe workspace and proper product rotation.
• Lead Seafood Roadshows and Holiday events.
• Maintain communication with vendors and customers.
