Job summary

Lead, support and supervise all seafood department duties, coach associates, schedule, training, and ensure compliance with food safety, labeling and local regulations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates by communicating information.
• Collaborate with associates and promote teamwork to help achieve goals.
• Establish performance goals for department and empower associates to meet targets.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Train and develop associates and participate in performance appraisals.
• Adhere to local, state and federal laws and company guidelines.
• Create an environment where customers feel welcome and informed about products.
• Cut seafood to customers' requests using proper equipment and provide ordered products.
• Prepare foods according to food safety logs and instructions.
• Partner with store management to implement a department business plan.
• Inform and educate associates about in-store promotions.
• Monitor and control department expenses and assist with budget reports.
• Schedule price changes and maintain shelf tags and signage.
• Maintain compliance with country of origin labeling and regulations.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory processes.
• Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines.
• Reinforce safety programs and notify management of unsafe conditions.
• Inspect equipment and report items needing repair.
• Notify management of accidents and report safety risks or illegal activity.
• Work cooperatively in a high-paced environment and manage conflicts professionally.
• Follow directions and provide assistance to resolve issues.
• Support and assist through interactions with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
