Job summary

Jetro Restaurant Depot in Charlotte, NC is seeking an Assistant Seafood Manager to support the seafood department's daily operations, ensure product quality, and uphold company standards across inventory, receiving, and display tasks.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with vendors, monitor freshness and rotation, manage signage and merchandising, and maintain a clean, compliant department in a fast-paced retail/warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in seafood, grocery, retail, or warehouse operations
• Basic understanding of product handling and inventory processes
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Support daily seafood department operations to ensure product availability, quality, and presentation
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through proper stock control and rotation
• Ensure seafood products are handled and stored according to food safety standards
• Monitor product freshness and assist in removing unsellable items
• Support and guide department staff during daily operations
• Assist with merchandising, signage, and product displays
• Support receiving processes by verifying incoming product for quality and accuracy
• Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and compliance with company policies
