Job summary

Whole Foods Market in California is seeking a Seafood Team Member to support counter service, stocking, and sanitation duties in the seafood department. The role focuses on friendly, efficient service and adherence to store procedures, health and safety standards, and company values.

You will maintain displays, assist with sampling, manage inventory, and help with opening, mid, and closing shifts while ensuring accurate signage, pricing, and a clean, safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to sell proactively.
• Ability to learn basic knowledge of all products carried in department.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Strong to excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Ensures a fresh and appealing display by checking quality, keeping cases and shelves clean and well stocked, rotating and removing out-of-date products, filling ice tables, and performing other duties as assigned.
• Maintains accurate department signage and pricing.
• Maintains back stock in good order.
• Provides excellent customer service, addresses needs of customers in a timely and effective manner and models suggestive selling techniques; answers phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Performs opening, mid, and closing duties as assigned; ensures accuracy of signs and pricing.
