Job summary

The Priority Dispatch Corp. Meat/Seafood department seeks a team member to maintain pricing, stocking, and rotation of all seafood items.

Responsibilities include unloading delivered merchandise, transporting stock to storage, opening cartons, pricing items when needed, and keeping shelves stocked according to tag allocations. You will assist in building store displays, ensure proper rotation of perishables, observe company policies, greet customers, and maintain a neat appearance per dress

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise and maintain inventory levels.
• Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise.
• Lift up to 70 pounds and stand for most shifts.
• Follow written and verbal instructions and maintain a neat appearance.

DEPARTMENT: Meat/SeafoodREPORTS TO: Meat ManagerFLSA STATUS: Non-ExemptJOB SUMMARY:To maintain pricing, stocking, and rotation of all merchandise in the seafood department.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Assist in unloading and separating the delivered merchandise.Transport stock for storage to stock areas.Open cartons and price items (if needed) accurately.Keep store shelves fully stocked according to tag allocations.Assist in building store displays and meat/seafood bunker items.Keep perishable merchandise rotated and pull out-of-code product as needed.Control the level of damaged goods and handle them according to company policy.Assist in the cleaning and sanitation of the meat/seafood preparation room during the work shift.Properly present assigned section prior to leaving at the end of scheduled work shift.Observe policies and procedures established for each department.Greet customers who come into the store and be observant.Maintain a neat appearance according to the company’s dress code policy.Abide by all company policies as stated in the Employee Handbook.SUPPLEMENTAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Maintenance of price and protection program.Housekeeping of sales and back room areas.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Ability to read and write to properly tag merchandise, maintain proper inventory level and ensure rotation of product.Ability to unload, transport, and place merchandise in specific areas.Ability to lift up to seventy (70) pounds at least forty percent (40%) of the time.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.Must be able to stand upright for most of your scheduled work shift.
