Kuehne+Nagel in the United States (Renton, WA) seeks a Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist, Import to manage two key customer accounts, coordinate imports, and uphold service excellence in daily operations.

This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. The compensation includes a target hourly rate of $31.25–$32.21, health and welfare benefits, a 401(k) plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation; actual pay varies by experience and location.

Qualifications

• Customer service, account management, logistics or related experience preferred.
• Experience in freight forwarding or sea logistics is a plus but not required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Customer-focused mindset with ability to build relationships and solve issues.

• Respond to customer inquiries via email, phone and other channels.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships with consistent communication.
• Monitor shipments, manage exceptions and coordinate with internal teams to resolve issues.
• Coordinate with Operational Care, Field Sales and other partners to support customer needs.
• Maintain accurate records of interactions in internal systems.
• Support pricing requests and spot quotes as needed.
• Identify process improvements to enhance the customer experience.
• Support account performance and assist with follow-up on financial and service aspects.

How you create impact

The Sea Logistics Customer Care Specialist, Import serves as a key point of contact for customers, ensuring a high level of service while coordinating day-to-day import operations. In this role, you will initially focus on supporting two key customer accounts while also providing broader support to the branch as business needs evolve.

• Respond to customer inquiries through email, phone, and other communication channels
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent communication and reliable service
• Monitor shipments and exceptions and work with internal teams to resolve issues
• Coordinate closely with Operational Care, Field Sales, and other internal partners to support customer needs
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and activity in internal systems
• Support pricing requests and spot quotes as needed
• Help identify process improvements and opportunities to improve the customer experience
• Support customer account performance and assist with financial and service-related follow-up
• Manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and strong customer service

• Customer service, account management, logistics, transportation, or related experience preferred
• Experience in freight forwarding or international sea logistics is an asset, but not required

Base wage is part of a competitive total rewards package that includes health and welfare benefits, a 401k retirement savings plan, tuition reimbursement, and incentive compensation for eligible roles. Individual pay may vary from the target range and is determined by a number of factors including experience, skills, job location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
