Job summary

Amazon Leo is seeking engineers to design and deliver a scalable, high-throughput network architecture for a massive satellite and terrestrial system in Redmond, WA. The role focuses on routing control plane software, SDN implementation, and high-availability services within a fast-paced, innovation-driven team.

You will work on defining automated processes, improving operational tooling, and collaborating across teams to ensure top-tier connectivity for customers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience (design patterns, reliability and scaling).
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for designing and delivering a modern, flexible, scalable, high throughput, low latency network architecture.
• Implement Routing and Forwarding, Traffic Engineering, and SDN technologies to deliver the best-in-class broadband network services for our customers.
• Implement highly-available software that will drive networking control plane operation on physical and remote nodes.
• Define and automate processes used for software development, implementation, testing, and maintenance.
• Provide operational excellence for control plane services, including enabling tools and definition/refinement of operational processes.
• Developing routing control plane software for network nodes in C and Rust.
