Lexington Medical Center in West Columbia, SC seeks an RN Clinical Coordinator for the Step Down ICU. The role provides operational shift oversight, delegates care, and facilitates timely admissions, transfers and discharges.

Requires BSN, 2 years in relevant specialty, SC RN license and certification; supports staff, promotes quality care, and participates in performance improvement and education.

Qualifications

• Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years of experience in areas of specialty within the past 5 years.
• Substitutable Education & Experience: ADN or Diploma nursing degree may apply if enrolled in RN to BSN/MS program with degree completion within 12 months of hire.
• Required Certifications/Licensure: National nursing certification in specialty at time of hire or obtain within 6 months.
• Current SC RN license to practice in the State of South Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Establishes positive rapport with patient and family.
• Promotes patient's independence by setting care goals and educating patient and family.
• Serves as patient/family advocate.
• Maintains documentation and communicates actions and needs.
• Leads a multidisciplinary team to ensure timely admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Participates in process/performance improvement activities.
