Job summary

Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to build tools and infrastructure for analyzing the PlayStation SDK and related tech. You will work across C++, Python, and testing frameworks to strengthen the testing ecosystem and enable reliable releases.

Qualifications

• Experience building automated test suites for SDKs written in C++ and low-level software.
• Strong scripting and programming skills in Python and C++ for test tooling.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments and test automation frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Craft and improve automated test cases, sample apps, testing tools and frameworks for SDK libraries and low level software (C++).
• Build and improve test infrastructure using Python and Groovy to simplify building, testing, and demonstrating PlayStation sample applications.
• Monitor test infrastructure, analyze automation failures, improve reliability, and optimize runtime performance.
• Partner with software production and offshore teams to define robust test plans, validation strategies, and documentation.
• Define scalable automation and infrastructure patterns to support long-term platform growth.
• Contribute to architectural discussions for test systems spanning C++, embedded firmware (C), and Python-based infrastructure.
• Identify technical risks early and drive mitigation strategies to protect release confidence.
