Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Software Development Engineer in Test II to lead test strategy for our custom Linux kernel and scalable CI infrastructure. You will validate hardware compatibility, performance, reliability, and security across diverse platforms and influence the quality of Akamai's AI and Compute platform.

You will design automated test frameworks, port tests to new kernel versions, and work with senior engineers to elevate testing standards and reliability.

Qualifications

• 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree or its equivalent.
• Solid scripting experience (Python/Shell/Perl) with C validation exposure.
• Understanding of Linux kernel internals and hardware drivers.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and scale automated test frameworks for Linux kernel and OS imaging.
• Develop test suites validating new hardware designs and porting Akamai changes to newer kernels.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex low-level system issues in testing environments.
• Architect and enhance build and test automation for robust CI/CD.
• Learn new skills with senior engineers to raise testing quality.
