Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. invites you to join the Cloud Platform Infrastructure Group - Linux Infrastructure team as a Software Development Engineer in Test II.

You will design scalable automated test frameworks to validate Akamai's Linux kernel, hardware compatibility, performance, and security. You will work with Senior engineers, expand CI and testing infrastructure, and help port modifications to newer kernel versions and VM systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in test/validation roles.
• Proficiency in Python/Shell/Perl scripting and C
• Strong understanding of Linux kernel internals and hardware drivers (PCIe, GPUs, NICs)
• Experience with Linux kernel hardware debugging tools and CI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale automated test frameworks for Akamai's Linux kernel and OS imaging processes.
• Develop test suites for new hardware designs and port modifications to newer kernel/VM infra.
• Debug and troubleshoot low-level system issues in varied environments.
• Enhance build/test automation for robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to raise quality standards in testing.
