Job summary

Amazon's ACTI team is seeking a seasoned software engineer to own and architect critical components of threat intelligence platforms, shaping scalability and reliability across Amazon's security ecosystem.

You will design distributed systems handling petabytes of data, lead SOA initiatives, and mentor engineers while partnering with threat intelligence analysts to translate complex needs into scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
• 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience

Responsibilities

• Own and architect ACTI's threat intelligence platforms, making key technical decisions that impact system scalability, performance, and reliability
• Design and implement distributed systems that process petabytes of security data
• Lead the development of service-oriented architectures that integrate complex threat intelligence workflows
• Drive technical decisions around data modeling, storage solutions, and processing frameworks
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and operational excellence
• Mentor junior engineers on system design, coding practices, and architectural patterns
• Partner with threat intelligence analysts to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Building some of the largest scale intelligence tooling on earth to defend against evolving security threats
• Production incidents and being part of an on-call rotation
