Job summary

Amazon ACTI Engineering is seeking a Software Development Engineer to architect and build mission-critical distributed systems powering threat intelligence capabilities. You will drive architecture decisions, design scalable data processing, and contribute across the full software lifecycle.

The role requires leadership, collaboration with threat analysts, and experience with Python, Typescript, AWS, and production-grade systems.

Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new or existing systems.
1+ years designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered distributed software applications using languages such as C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Own and architect critical components of ACTI's threat intelligence platforms, making key technical decisions that impact system scalability, performance, and reliability.
Design and implement distributed systems that process petabytes of security data.
Lead the development of service-oriented architectures that integrate complex threat intelligence workflows.
Drive technical decisions around data modeling, storage solutions, and processing frameworks.
Own the full software development lifecycle, from design through deployment and operational excellence.
Mentor junior engineers on system design, coding practices, and architectural patterns.
Partner with threat intelligence analysts to translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions.
Build some of the largest scale intelligence tooling to defend against evolving security threats.
Production incidents and being part of an on-call rotation.
